INJECTION MOULDING

PIONEERING

SOLUTIONS

Not all injection moulding is the same.

We are committed to finding innovative and pioneering solutions to help you produce even the most sophisticated components. Technologies such as multi-component injection moulding with rotary table, index plate or co-injection are part of our day-to-day. This is usually done in combination with "Film Insert Moulding".

product visions.

FILM
INSERT MOLDING

Film Insert Moulding", or FIM for short, is the most versatile process for high-tech surface design.

In this process, a die-cut plastic film (2D or 3D formed) is inserted into the injection mould and then front- and/or back-injected. Depending on the application, a wide variety of plastics are used. FIM technology is not only used for plastic films, but also artificial or genuine leather, fabric or even wood veneers.

INJECTION MOULDING

WITH BLACK PANEL

EFFECT

First, the film is screen-printed on one side. The colour values are continuously measured during the process. It is then die-cut to the required final contour. Only then is further processing carried out in the injection moulding process. Depending on the requirements, the film can be back-injected with black coloured granulate. In this application, the black component serves to block out the light for the symbols to be illuminated. To achieve an iPhone-like effect/appearance, this pre-moulded part can be front-injected with a transparent plastic.

This makes it possible to create an almost glass-like appearance. While only the black high-gloss surface is perceived when switched off (black panel effect), the backlit actuation symbols light up when the element is activated.

INNOVATIVE STRENGTH

PRECISION THROUGH AUTOMATION

In addition, automated systems can ensure greater accuracy and repeatability throughout the production process.

This results in higher product quality, less waste and lower production costs.
