HEATING FOIL TECHNOLOGY

ONE OF OUR

CORE COMPETENCIES

Heating wires are embedded in plastic to allow for the targeted heating of surfaces.

This technology is used mainly in the automotive industry. Our services include the construction of sample parts, the heating foil itself and the finished moulded part.

WHAT MAKES US SPECIAL

ENABLING

TARGETED HEATING

IN AUTOMOBILES

FLEXIBLE IN 2D
AND 3D

Since 2013, one of our core competencies has been heating foil technology.

Whether in interior heating systems or for heating driver assistance systems, we at New Albea implement flexible geometries in both 2D and 3D.

HEATING FOIL TECHNOLOGY

WE ARE THE EXPERTS

FOR COMPLICATED

GEOMETRIES

With our know-how and long-standing experience, we ensure optimum functionality of the component. For the realisation of these geometries, you can count on the experts at New Albea. No matter where the heating module technology is to be used in your product, we ensure that the quality standards we set for ourselves are met. We do not simply embed heating wires into the film, but also ensure that the wires maintain their geometries during the forming and injection process. Functional contacting is essential to ensure that the desired heating effect is achieved without any problems.

INNOVATIVE STRENGTH

FLEXIBILITY IN SURFACE HEATING

The embedded heating wires are thinner than a human hair.

In addition, instead of heating wires, conductive printed surfaces

or strips can be used. Depending on customer requirements, different connector or contacting variants are offered.

To ensure the functional safety of driver assistance systems in cold weather conditions, surfaces behind which important sensors are installed must be kept free of ice and in good working order.

With the help of the heating foil, three-dimensional contours or radomes can be heated without interfering with the radar signal.
